The Department of Education in Virginia has a page devoted to assisting gifted students and though this web-site does not list specific strategies to assist students, it does give information regarding Virginia Governor’s Schools which are schools designed to challenge students academically. http://www.doe.virginia.gov/VDOE/Instruction/Gifted/gifted.htm

This helpful article offers assistance with gifted students including myths and facts about gifted learners as well as instructional strategies.

This handbook was prepared for working with gifted students by First Nations Education Committee (in British Colombia) and gives helpful definitions and suggestions to help gifted students.
